My 5th Grade Year

My year in grade 5.... 

My year was a little difficult because  in the beginning of the year I was in Maryland and then  I had to move to Cairo. And it was a lot harder to learn when I missed out on allot

1. How have you grown in this area?(literacy)

I have grown in literacy by making an essay and reading chapter books 

2. How can we help you at home?
Answer: 

     You can help me by showing me books that I would need.

3. What future goals do you have as a student?
Answer: 

 My future goals is to pass 5th grade and become better at everything.

Reading

Growth: I now read bigger chapter books.

Next Steps: I think my next steps should be reading 40 mins a day than 25.

Writing

Growth: Now i make essays more often.

Math

Growth: I was able to learn how to use a set square and learned more about shapes.

Science

growth: We did an experiment that was to reduce fossil fuels and dirty water.

• Social Studies

We are just at the beginning of a SS unit and I was not there for the first unit.

• Citizenship - CORE Values

I haven really bin in school for most of the year and I was able to fit in because I was able to make a friend and I think the important part to making a friend is respect, creativity, compassion, courage, and responsibility because if you don't something wrong might happen.

• Most Challenging

The most challenging thing for me was the map tests. I think one of the reason was that there were a lot of questions which got me tired. Some of the questions were really hard which took me long to figure out.

• Most Enjoyable

I think the most enjoyable part was the science experiment. This seemed the best because of how there wasn't any hard task and I think it was cool to make clean water.

• Most Proud Of

I'm most proud of my work and how i did it like my essay.

• Most Growth

Most of my growth happened in writing when I did my essay. For example,

I made a bigger essay when i did Mount Everest.
